Something New: Sunglasses
I have been on the hunt for a pair of oversized Tortoise Shell sunglasses for ages. All of my other eyewear purchases have been in Black. I was looking for a pair similar to those worn by Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's". I tried on the RayBan Wayfarer(the pair worn by all the 'celebs')but, decided to pass because I wasn't in love with them. I was lusting after these done by the French brand Celine in the 'Audrey' series. However, they quickly sold out.
This past weekend, I decided to pay a visit to Loehmann's on the Upper West side and came across the Stella McCartney version. There was another woman eyeing them, but, I managed to snatch them up before she did. hehe;) Shopping is a serious sport!
As soon as I put them on....I was in love. They are perfection and bit darker, plus, I didn't pay full price (which included their discounted price and an extra 20% off voucher). YAY!!! \o/

New Additions
I haven't posted here in over a month (tisk tisk)didn't mean to stay away so long. Decided to get back to it as I love sharing with you my latest finds (some are old some are new). All items listed are from H&M.
Will style all items purchased soon and post outfits.
1. Metallic Cardi Coat - Trend *(sold out)
It is absolutely gorgeous. I've received several compliments since its debut last month. STUNNING! A go to staple for adding interest to an outfit whether it be casual or dressy.
2. Lace Pencil Skirt - Conscious Collection *(sold out)
As soon as I saw this posted for H&M's Fall preview collection. I knew I had to have it. So, feminine and classic. The quality is superb (made of 100% recycled cotton)...reminds me of high end designer 2008 Prada collection(a fave of mine)for those who know me *wink*
3. Faux Fur Gilet/Vest - Divided
I've wanted a faux fur gilet/vest for ages. Tried on several last year to no avail and was determined to find one this year. Found it! FINALLY!!! Perfect length and fit plus it comes with a faux leather belt. Can't go wrong with that. SOLD!!^_^
4. Black Crocheted Wool Cardigan/Jacket - Trend
I absolutely love this Cardi/Jacket. The crochet detailing throughout is different (something I haven't seen before). Perfect layering piece. Can be worn as a jacket during colder Fall months(has good weight to it). Goes with everything...just chuck it on and go.
5. Wool Zip Cardigan - Trend
This is a cute zip cardi, however, I'm not 100% sold on it (will be returning it):( When I tried it on in the store, I liked it. But, once I got it home I immediately had buyer's remorse. Overall, really nice, problem is the (cream/ivory) sleeves tends to shed on everything especially black colored items. It looks like I had a fight with my cat and she cat won. That's not the look I'm going for. @_@
6. Faux Fur Jacket
It was on sale for half price and I used my 20% off coupon. I only paid $28 dollars (can you believe it?) Now, that's a bargain. Never owned a faux fur jacket before, but, this was calling me. I tried it on several times and thought...hmmmm, would I actually wear this? Answer after receiving several compliments: HELL YEAH!!! This is perfect for running around NYC or when I want to feel more glamorous. :)
7. Bracelets - Jewelry
Purchased as a set. One is done in gold and the other in silver. The gold has a silver clasp while the silver has a gold clasp. New York stores finally got them in stock. I saw these on other blog posts in the UK and Amsterdam. I tend to lean towards minimal jewelry w/a bit of an edge...great addition to my collection.
Overall, I have to say H&M is hitting it out the park with the quality of merchandise and designs this year. A++ to their design team. I get a rush every time I visit their stores. New merchandise is received and placed on the selling floor weekly. You never know what you'll find. SO GO GO GO!!!

New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 (cont.)
What can be said that hasn't already been said about Hervé Léger dresses....the FIT IS TO DIE FOR!!! Max and Lubov Azria designs impress me season after season. For Spring 2012, the line showcased a warrior/tribal princess vibe utilizing metallics mixed with white, black, taupe, and burgundy. If you haven't had the chance to try one on...I strongly suggest you do. These dresses are SPANX on steroids.
Jill Stuart's Spring 2012 collection was completely wearable. I loved the entire line...while I'm no fan of pink (not a girlie girl) even I would wear those pieces. The color palette including fabrics used was pleasing to the eye. Two thumbs up....quite lovely.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2012
BCBG Max Azria Spring 2012 was beautiful with its free flowing silhouettes. The collection had a tribal, color-blocked, athletic vibe to it. Simple dressing...just throw it on and go. Loved!
Jason Wu Jason Wu! I dream of owning a garment from his line. The Spring 2012 collection was sophisticated, elegant w/a slight edge compared to past seasons. I really liked the short/long hemlines shown....no doubt a trend for next Spring. The color palette ranged from black, blue, pink, white, grey to yellow. Seriously need to win the lottery.
Prabal Gurung Spring 2011 was sexy and provocative. It was edgy yet feminine. His inspiration came from photographer Nobuyoshi Araki of erotic images of women bound in rope. Need I say more? A great collection.
DKNY Donna Karan knows how to dress us city girls. Her Spring 2012 collection was no exception. Loved the free flowing loose shapes and colors/patterns used. It reminded me of style icon Jane Berkin with the 70's retro vibe. I could see myself wearing everything in the collection. Well done... Ms. Karan!
Preen is a London-based label... a favorite among many including myself. They didn't disappoint with their Spring 2012 collection which is crave worthy. The colors and patterns used by designers Thea Bregazzi and Justin Thornton evoked thoughts/feelings of Spring even though we're headed into Fall. All pieces shown are wearable and simply gorgeous. I loved it!
More reviews/videos to come....I'm just getting started.

Hats, Scarves, Jewelry from H&M
Over the past few weeks, I've collected a few bits and bobs from H&M. I can't wait to start sporting the scarves and hats once the weather begins to cool here in New York. Looks like I'll get the chance by the end of this week. YAY!!! Lately, I've become obsessed with choker style necklaces and cuffs...they look perfect worn casual or dressed up.
